Living in the Mile High City for a few years, we got to explore the best Instagrammable places in Denver and now share our favorite hotspots with you. From top-tier museums to hidden gems, Denver is full of places that are perfect for snapping pictures.

We’ve carefully curated this list to include every type of Denver Instagram spot, from outdoor locations to bookstores and everything in between.

Every spot on the list is also within 2 hours of the city, as we did include a few spots in nature, like nearby Idaho Springs, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Golden, and Estes Park.

Whether you’re visiting the city or just exploring your own backyard, here are some of the best Instagrammable places in Denver to add to your list. Don’t forget to grab your camera!

Instagrammable Places in Denver

Larimer Square

Larimer Square is the perfect spot to snap a great photo of Denver!

Located in the heart of downtown, Larimer Square is one of the city’s most beloved and historic districts.

Not only is it a great place to take in the sights and sounds of Denver’s vibrant history, but it’s also constantly decorated with festive flags and decorations that make for an even more memorable experience.

Whether you’re looking for a great shot to document your trip or just want to soak up some old-fashioned charm, Larimer Square should be top on your list for a Denver photo op.

Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse

The beautiful Dushanbe Teahouse in Boulder is a must-see for travelers looking to get a great photo. From the outside, the building is absolutely breathtaking with its intricate patterns and vibrant colors.

But inside, you can get even better views by getting tea (or a meal) and looking up at the ceiling. We personally love and recommend the chai!

Tattered Cover Bookstore

Tattered Cover Bookstore is the perfect spot to get a photo if you love books. With multiple locations around the city, the odds are that no matter where in the city you are, you’ll be able to find a location nearby.

RiNo

RiNo, short for River North, is a must-visit neighborhood for travelers who want to capture the beauty of Denver. When we lived in LoDo, we visited this area of the city a lot.

Throughout this part of the city, there’s an array of stunning street art that can make a great backdrop for any kind of photo.

Whether you’re looking for something abstract and vibrant or something a little more subtle and peaceful, you’ll be sure to find just what you need in RiNo.

And if street art isn’t your thing, RiNo also boasts a selection of photogenic breweries and restaurants that provide some fantastic opportunities to get some unique shots during your travels.

With their combination of atmospheric lighting, industrial design elements, and interesting artwork on display, it’s hard not to snap away when you visit one of these spots.

Dairy Block & Milk Market

Dairy Block and Milk Market provide the perfect backdrop for a photo. It’s one of our fave spots to bring people when they visit Denver for the first time.

Located downtown, you’ll find a vibrant mix of local shops, restaurants, and even small festivals (their winter festivals are a lot of fun), all of which create a lively atmosphere.

Whether you’re looking to snap some great photos or sample some of the best food Denver has to offer, Dairy Block is the place to be.

Red Rocks

Just outside the city, Red Rocks Amphitheater is one of the best concert venues in the United States, with stunning views and plenty of exciting photo opportunities.

Coors Field

16th Street

16th Street Mall is the perfect place for anyone looking to get a great photo in Denver! Located right in LoDo, this street is lined with shops and many of our favorite restaurants.

If you’re looking for a unique photo opportunity, 16th Street Mall offers some of the best views. Plus, if you’re hungry while snapping photos, there are plenty of delicious eateries to choose from.

    City Park

    City Park is a great place to get an unforgettable photo of the Denver skyline! Whether it’s the summer sunsets or the breathtaking fall foliage, City Park has a view that will make you feel like you have stepped into a postcard.

    Not only can visitors get an incredible view here, but they can also explore the many trails and pathways throughout the park.

    The Denver Zoo is also located in City Park and offers visitors plenty of opportunities to see some exciting animals up close.

    Denver Botanic Gardens

    Lookout Mountain is a must-visit spot in Boulder if you want more of a hidden gem photo location! It’s especially beautiful in the fall, with the golden leaves surrounding you as you take in stunning views.

    Plus, it’s just a short drive away from downtown Boulder’s Pearl Street, so you can make a day of it and explore both.

    From Lookout Mountain, you’ll get some truly incredible photos that will be sure to impress all your friends back home.

    Table Mountain Inn

    Table Mountain Inn is a great choice for photo spots near Denver. The inn offers great lodging with all the modern amenities you could ask for. Plus, its picturesque location makes it an ideal spot for photographers to capture beautiful memories of their trips.

    After a day of exploring Golden, you can also enjoy an incredible meal at the inn’s restaurant, Table Mountain Grill & Cantina. The menu is filled with mouthwatering dishes, but we love their burritos.

    Happy Camper

    Happy Camper is the perfect spot for foodies looking for a photograph. Not only is their pizza amazing – with flavors like classic pepperoni and even specialty pizzas with toppings like prosciutto, goat cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes – but the location is truly picturesque.

    Its design has an eclectic vibe that stands out even amongst Denver’s hip eateries. Happy Camper’s exterior provides the perfect backdrop for capturing stunning photographs of your meal.

    Voodoo Doughnuts

    Voodoo Doughnuts in Denver is a great place for you to get a photo-worthy snack! It’s our go-to spot when we’re looking for something sweet and delicious.

    They have all sorts of crazy toppings, from sour grape candy to cereal and everything in between. Plus, the unique pink boxes make them even more fun to eat. If you need your doughnut fix and wanna snap a good photo, don’t miss out on Voodoo Doughnuts.

    They also have quite a few locations throughout the city.

    Rainbow Crosswalks

    Denver’s rainbow crosswalks have become a major tourist attraction and photo op! Taking pics here is a fun way to add some color to your photos.

    Plus, with the vibrant hues of the rainbow against the cityscape backdrop, you’ll get amazing shots that will surely turn heads. You can usually find some of these around Colfax, Broadway, and even in RiNo.

    Located in Aurora, Colorado, Stanley Marketplace is a vibrant hub for local eats and entertainment that should definitely be included in any visit to the Mile High City.

    The must-visit spot here is the Denver Biscuit Company. Whether you go for their famous fried chicken sandwich or one of their cinnamon rolls, you won’t be disappointed!

    Pearl Street

    Pearl Street in Boulder is one of the most picturesque areas. Stroll down the pedestrian-only street and find yourself surrounded by local stores, unique cafes, art galleries, and plenty of other interesting sights.

    Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge

    Little Man Ice Cream

    The Yard

    Beau Jo’s is a must-visit if you want a food photo. Not only do they have the best pizza, but their Colorado-style pies are made with honey that adds a delightful sweetness to the classic dish.

    Idaho Springs

    Idaho Springs is an excellent day-trip destination for getting photos with small-town Wild West vibes. The town is full of stunning scenery and many old-fashioned charming buildings.

    Our favorite thing to do at Idaho Springs is walk around and visit all the quaint shops.

    St Mary’s Glacier

    Garden of the Gods

    You might recognize it from Stephen King’s classic horror piece, The Shining. It easily stands out amongst the beauty of the nearby Rocky Mountains. You can even spend the night here, if you want. Just book in advance!

    Rocky Mountain National Park

    It’s the perfect place to get stunning photos year-round – from wildflowers blooming in the spring to fall foliage and sparkling snow during the winter.

    The best spots to capture the breathtaking views of this national park are the Alpine Visitor Center and Lake Haiyaha. At these locations, you can get postcard-worthy shots that you’ll be proud to hang on your wall!
